Comments about Easton EA90 XC UST 26" Wheels 2012:
I got the wheelset on sale and have them for over six months now. They are very light, very durable and others will notice these wheels. I was cautious at first about their durability because of how light they are, but not anymore. I'm confident these wheels can take a lot more punishment that I can dish out. Both front and rear wheel are still as true as the first day I put them on my bike.

Comments about Easton EA90 XC UST 26" Wheels 2012:
Light, Fast and Responsive. I only have about 6 hours on my new wheel set and so far it's all sweet. These are replacing Mavic 717 rims and xt hubs.

Comments about Easton EA90 XC UST 26" Wheels 2012:
This is the first Easton wheelset I have purchased. I have been riding Reynolds, Mavic and even old Specialized S-works from back in the day. Out of the box they were, and have remained true after a few months of xc use. They continue to roll smooth and really help inspire confidence. The freehub is almost silent which takes a bit of getting used to after coming from Reynolds. While not the lightest wheel out there, it seems like you get a good tradeoff for durability and performance. I have not put them on the scale but will do so in the future to see if the weight was accurate. Overall a really great wheel.

Comments about Easton EA90 XC UST 26" Wheels 2012:
Love these wheels. I've had my eye on these for a while and finally pulled the trigger with no regrets. They are super light and strong. I'm just under 200 and race XC so I can take a toll on light wheels. These look great and perform great. The freewheel doesn't make any noise so if you like the mechanical sound of other hubs, these lack it. They are excellent though. 5 out of 5!

A great value for these hoops (thanks Jenson!). I haven't had an opportunity to put many miles in on these, but thus far they are working well and are holding up fine.

Comments about Easton EA90 XC UST 26" Wheels 2012:
It was a value in terms of saving weight over the stock Bontrager wheel - 1 pound almost exactly. I have estimated that a 1 pound weight reduction in terms of buying one bike vs. another is a price difference of over $300. I was able to save this pound - and a pound of wheel weight - for about half that, which makes this wheel a value.

Comments about Easton EA90 XC UST 26" Wheels 2012:
I pulled these out of the box and immediately threw them on the wheel-truing stand. That was pointless; they were ramrod straight right out of the box. Then I threw the spoke tension meter on them, 'cause pre-built wheels are often soft out of the box. This, again, was pointless. The spoke tension was pleasingly higher than most pre-built wheels, and I found the spoke tension even all around the wheel. So I checked the dish, and yes, it too was perfect.
So I threw on a cassette, some rotors, and slapped 'em on my bike. They're great. I haven't had a chance to put too great a pounding on them yet, but my wife is riding the XC 70 wheelset and she has yet to inflict any pain on hers - despite lots of grueling mileage and a few brutal mishaps.
The freewheel on these wheels is QUIET.
These are tubeless-ready, but I put tubes in mine, so I can't comment on that. (If someone wants to send me a compressor I'll run a trial.)
I'm 5'9", 160 lbs, and I ride HARD, mostly doing trail riding and throwing jumps whenever I can. I'm not a finesse-style rider by any means. My daily trail bike is also my racing bike from time to time.
Comments about Easton EA90 XC UST 26" Wheels 2012:
I've heard it for years ~ a set of quality wheels will change the way your bike rides and feels ~ and boy has it ever! These Easton Wheels were a huge upgrade from my entry level Mavic's. From the way they looked when I pulled them out of the box, to the way they perform on the trail. I knew I got something good. It feels like I have a new bike. I would never have been able to afford these if it weren't for Jenson's awesome sale price.
