This is a good light for the price. I'm happy with it, but Niterider's new version is 650 lumens, smaller, lighter, and less money. The handlebar mount that comes with this light is garbage. I called Niterider's customer service and they sent me a different mount at no cost that works much better.

The light is great on the helmet because there's no cords and the weight isn't really very noticable. But I'd take a look at the new version for less money, but I haven't personally used the new version. Overall, I'm happy with this light and would recommend it to a friend.

I use this light for local trail riding and it is bright enough to ride at almost daylight speeds on familiar trails. Mine is handlebar mounted and works fine though you really have to put some effort into tightening the clamp so it stays put on rough trails. The battery lasts about 90 minutes on high but not much longer and will go off when you least expect it, so pay attention to the time and turn it down to low whenever possible if your ride lasts longer. Overall it's a great light that has some of my friends jealous that you can get so much light from such a small compact unit without wires.

I would not buy a car without headlamps and now i would not have a bike with out a light like this.

This is a great light, unfortunately hampered by a weak mount. It attaches quickly and holds fine for road riding, commuting, and smooth trails, but on rock gardens or jumps, the light tends to turn forward until it is pointing at your front tire.

Other than that, I love this light. It's good looking, puts out a wide bright 600 lumen beam, and is extremely lightweight at about a 1/2 lb. I'm used to riding with my H.I.D. that weighs about 3-4 lbs for the entire setup, so this makes a huge difference in how the bike handles.

Niterider is coming out with a fixed mount that should solve all the problems mentioned in this and other reviews.

I use the product for riding the local wooded mtb trails and then commute home. I really like the amount of light and the run time has been great. Make sure you understand how the switch works, you have to hold to turn off and another longer hold puts it in a locked state for travel in a bag. So many others have bought imported lights and most of them have had problems. I emailed Niterider about the bar mount and they just sent me a bolt on mount a few days later, no charge.I usually use it on my helmet and don't find it too heavy. love the enclosed battery I have had it 6 months and holds a charge a long time.

nice and bright what else could you want! even works well as a flashlight which we used on vacation in costa rica. happy with this one vs. others which died out too quickly this one dismounts easily too..

This light is amazing. It has many levels of brightness. Overpowers other peoples lights and I love it. Only con is the mount. Cheap flimsy and weak.

Great light, actually I initially bought a cygolight. But after comparing it to a niterider I hab to return the cygolight, even though I knew I hated the mount on the niterider. The niterider just has a wider beam. At least twice as wide. I just wish they had the same style mount as the cygolight. The niterider mount just doesn't do the lamp justice.

I was very impressed with the light power compared to my TriNewt. I first used it as a helmet mount but the light was a little heavy and I realized how much the dust becomes apparent when you use a helmet light and are behind other riders. Went to mount light on handlebar, when I discovered what a poorly designed mount Niterider included with kit. I have just recently converted my old Niterider Classic mount to hold the MiNewt 600. I have yet to try it out, but it seems to be a very sturdy upgrade with great adjustability.
