I found that I had a squeak from the hanger banger under heavy pedalling effort. I first thought it was fron the BB area, but that was fine. I remove the hanger banger and squeak vanished. I first tried lubricating the QR nut inside the unit with paraffin and that helped for a while. But now I applied some anti sieze compound to the QR nut and that seems to work the best. I.

on my older style xtr derailer it eliminated ghost shifting and made my whole drivetrain work better it did an excelent job protecting the rear mechanicals.highly recomended unfortunatly does not work with my new shadow style derailer
