The Mission is a great alternative to the constricting XC-type clipless shoes on the market. More room for your foot to move around, with just enough snugness to provide proper pedaling efficiency. The Vibram sole is superbly grippy on and off the bike, and there is reasonable toe protection in the toe box for those improperly executed tripod moves on rocky terrain.

Boght these because they were on sale. I am a twelve and I got a 45 but they were just a bit too small so I returned them for a 46 and they fit great. I use shimano SPD cleats and they installed fine. laces tuck nicely into strap. Other than that great shoe for mountain biking and casual riding. Cleat doesn't hit the ground while walking. got 4 starts cuase they run small.

first spd shoe. It is well ventilated, so wouldn't be great for cold weather rides (below 45 degrees) The sole is great if you have to hike/bike. The cleat does hit sometimes when walking on hard surfaces, but would be fine to wear into restaurants, or beer store!! The recess for the cleat didn't require any triming. I use Shimano PD-M424.
