This is a killer cable cutter. I even used it to cut some spokes on a pixie bike. If you know anything about pixie bikes and if you have a clown suit in your windowless 1964 Ford Econoline van like I do, you know that those are some large diameter spokes dude. That may not be the the advertised use for this tool, but I found it extremely satisfying for my purposes.

Installed Avid Full Metal Jacket cables for Avid mechanical disc brakes. Was dissappointed with product's ability to cut through the cable housing without damaging the circumference. When adjusting the length on the rear housing ended up wasting housing because the tool would crush it when cutting off small portions. Works better when cutting off longer portions so try to make the cut right the first time. Not quite as good as the adertisement.

I wish I had bought these right from the start. So much better than diaganol pliers or hardware store cutters for cable and housings.

These cutters are expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. Easy to cut cables, but in comparison to other tools I have used, these things are perfect for getting a nice clean cut on housing. These things will last a lifetime, very high quality tool. If I ever lost mine I'd definitely get another one.

Some tools become favorites simply because they do what they are supposed to do all of the time and you can count on the job being done right by using them. These cutters are sharp and always on the mark.

These cutters sliced through my deraileur cable with ease and with no signs of dulling. I used a pick tool to clean up the inner liner. the crimping jaw worked great on the caps.

I purchased a second pair of these after my first pair disappeared during a move. These are the best cable cutters you can find. They are very sharp and cut quickly. They will be with you for the rest of your life if you don't misplace them.

Comments about Park Tool Park CN-10 Cable Cutter:

Quality made tool. Park bicycle manual describes to clean up cuts on housing ends with a file and to clean up housing deformations with the crimping jaws. It will crimp but I cleaned mine up with the jaws and a bench grinder. As for the housing inner liner, automotive dental pick and an X-acto. I had the extra tools already so I saved $20 by buying the Park. Good for the hobbyist.
