The trick with the glueless patches is to inflate over 35psi (MTB) if the presure is lower than that it might start leaking, and you need to inflate before every ride

I use to use GP-1(discontinued), and carried the kit everywhere I went on my bicycle. It had the same look as GP-2 but the difference is night and day. GP-1 had good elasticity that stretches as the tube expands, but not GP-2. they changed the formula with stiffer patch, you patch it and leaks before you go out of the house. On the other hand, GP-1 I put on my tubes several years ago are still working.
I experimented with two patches, GP-1 and GP-2 side by side and inflated the tube half way. GP-2 chokes (bottle neck) the tube far more.
I stopped using gluless variety altogether and went back to regular glue patches.

It's a back up to your back up. No screwing around with glue. Just rough surface and stick on. While testing tires on my cross bike I've had up to 3 of these things on one tube.

Comments about Park Tool Park GP-2C Glueless Patch Kit:
The only patch I use. It may not last forever, but it's sooo easy to use it's worth the tradeoff. When it fails, just plop another one one, but by then it's usually time for a new tube anyway.

Comments about Park Tool Park GP-2C Glueless Patch Kit:
Used this when I got a flat, and my LBS only had these in stock. Small hole in the tube, but had to go through 2 patches to learn how to do it right (first time the patch had a big bubble in the middle with high pressure and slowly leaked). Like another reviewer said inflate the tube a bit first because the patch wont stretch and will just cause problems otherwise.
These are more for a quick fix on the road, unlike vulcanized patches which seem to work for the life of the tube. Leaving these in my pack for an emergency. For a backup these will get you home and are great. Just patch it up with glue at home and it will be good as new.

got one of theses for free at a bike park and it worked great. not until i got home and got a bigger snake bite that the patch didnt work. these patches only work on smaller thorn punctures not snake bites/ pinch flats

Comments about Park Tool Park GP-2C Glueless Patch Kit:
These are okay for small holes but dont do so well for pinched areas. They stretch very little exposing the hole. They will get you through the ride but dont count on the same tube for your next epic. They can be used for tires as well if your in a bind. Also small blisters for temperary relief.

Comments about Park Tool Park GP-2C Glueless Patch Kit:
I have several of these. I put one in every saddle bag or camelbak. The glue less patches work pretty well. If you pick up a thorn, some glass, or a small piece of metal, you can fix it with this. It seems to be pretty close to permanent, as well. Also, forget the old days of having to spread cement and wait for it to dry a bit, then finally apply the patch and wait some more while applying pressure.
Nope. Rough up the tube a bit and put the patch on it. Put that tube back in the tire, inflate, and ride. So much easier.

Comments about Park Tool Park GP-2C Glueless Patch Kit:
I have tried other glueless patches and these work the best. They bond to the tube and I have never had them leak. They take up very little space and are good insurance when you have used your spare tube and then get another flat.
Comments about Park Tool Park GP-2C Glueless Patch Kit:
Stuff this ride saver in your seat pack. They take up no room. They can save you from having to walk back to the trailhead.
