I have been using this brush for years on my bikes and it is a must have for anyone who works on a bike. The stiff bristles really get the grime off your cassette and chainrings. It's shape allows you to get into tight spaces. For the price, you can't beat it.

From a functional standpoint, this is a good tool to have and handy when cleaning your bike. It struggles with both durability and comfort though.

After just a few uses, the plastic holding the brush in broke. I still use it to de-gunk my cassette, but can't use the brush. When using the brush, the teeth from the cassette cleaning end dig into your hand and make it uncomfortable.

Comments about Park Tool Park GSC-1 Gear Clean Brush:

This has been used only a couple of times and feels like it might break easily. It does the job well and the bristles are tough enough to do a good job on a chain or gears. Watch, it will be in my toolbox for years. So, not a throwaway.

Comments about Park Tool Park GSC-1 Gear Clean Brush:

Really, the only reason I got this is it made up the $4.25 gap I needed for free shipping. But it is a nicely made brush. I use it after every couple of rides to clean the rear cogs, get dirt out of hard to reach places, and brush the chain off.

Used this tool and it helps with getting the gunk out of my drivetrain. Not as effective as a screwdriver or disassembling and cleaning, but easier on the parts and a whole lot easier.

Nicer than a regular brush. The curved tooth part is great for cleaning your cassette if you regularly ride in muddy areas. Great tool, I use it all the time!

No more toothbrushes, what I like most is the toothed part because it helps cleanse the back of the cassette, just need to see how durable it is.
