Comments about Ritchey Pro-Paradigm MTN Clipless Pedals:
Used these tonight for the first time at a race (yes not the best idea) but I set them up on my pre ride, and they required a bit of fiddling with the tension screw before they felt good (unlike shimano, feels good out of the box)
Due to the square design of these pedals it makes it very difficult to clip in without taking your time or looking where you are going - it is easy to hit the 'front' or 'back' where the tension system is rather than the cleated area as they are equal lengths. This leads to a weird locking feeling and not being sure - I also had these un clip a few times while sprinting hills.
I came first in the race but my XT Shimanos will be going back on tomorrow morning, even if there is a 85g weight penalty.
