Took them out the very first time and felt in control with every spin.

The Candy pedal is the answer to dummies like me who spent half the price on Smarties and then find out that when the little black thingy on the end of the axle pops out and disappears, the pedal gets funky wobbly and the nice Crank Bros. Customer support chick says, "You can trade them in on a pair of Candy pedals, but the Smarty pedal was not and is not servicable." Normally Crank Bros service and support is awesome, but in this case they got the name of the Pedal WRONG. For cryin out loud, they can't even send out a little 2 cent plastic plug to pop back in the pedal? Lame. BTW, they never did follow up on how I could trade them in even tho I wrote again to ask - so I just got really SMART and bought a pair of Candy(s) from Jenson. Great pedals for MTB, the only one I would use.

I love EggBeaters, no need to adjust them, and I never had a problem not being able to detach.
Older models were not reliable and bearing needed servicing too frequent, but, this model should be improved, been using it for about 6 months now and they're great.

Those pedals are great. I've been using a set of egg beatters for about 4 years on bolt my bikes and thought it might be time for some change when both set started to loosen in the bushings... after 4 years of usage!!. They are easy to clip in and shed mud realy well (exept in realy thick stuff) and are realy light. trust me, for [$] a set, you can not get a better bang for you're buck.
Get price for clip-less pedals. Reliable release and entry. The design is simple and easy to maintain. Sheds mud like crazy if you are trying to enter the pedals wit muddy shoes. Small platform is good to use clipped out on sketchy sections and riding around without town shoes without any cleats. Overall good pedal for the price and use.Easy, reliable release if needed. Great pedals for beginners waiting to upgrade to clip-less pedals.

All models developed by Crank Brothers have the same performance. The Candy was installed in my Specialized Enduro EVO. Excellent choice. Excellent cost x benefit ratio.

Great pedal at a great price. Second pair of these. Only con is for the green/black version purchased - the green color started peeling off soon after installation.

Seriously use these pedals for both my road and mountain bikes because I love them so freaking much. They are so easy to get in and out of, feel like a pedal when you need a bit of a platform, never get dirt caught in them, are lightweight for the price and easy to learn to use. Best deal ever.

Great price for such a good pedal. Entry not as positive as Shimano but once you get used to the lighter feeling they are great.
