While my wife wanted to be more efficient with her pedalling, she steadfastly refused clipless pedals or toe clips & straps. When I saw the Ergon Contour Pedal, I purchased a pair for her. Everything Ergon claims for these pedals is true. I put the pedals on her bike and we went on a one-week cycling holiday. While we couldn't measure her pedalling efficiency, she never complained about sore legs or feet, or about working too hard to keep up to everyone. And even with one day of drenching rain, her feet never slipped on the textured surface.
