Comments about MKS Stream Pedal:
This is a caveat for these pedals, they need to be greased before you install them. If you Google MKS Pedal Servicing, there is lots of web chatter about people finding these pedals have little or no grease and are not properly adjusted. I removed the dust caps on MKS pedals I just received from JensonUSA and found there's grease in the outboard bearings, but it's sparse and wouldn't last long. I plan to regrease and adjust these pedals before putting them on my bike. The dust caps have a special tool for removing them, available from Velo Orange, but they can be removed by carefully using pliers. I used channel-lock type pliers that provide good grip and leverage and had no problem removing the dust caps without damaging them. The rest of the pedal guts look like most other pedal insides. Other than the bearings issue, they look like good pedals and I expect to be happy with them.
