A small, simple and dependable chain tool. I've found it to be best at breaking chains rather then installing them.
Like the previous reviewer mentioned, its small size can make pin alignment cumbersome. It works, it just take some patience.
A durable and cheap tool that has been kicking around both my toolbox and saddle bag for years.
Invest in the larger Pedros or Park chain tools for frequent home use (especially if you're using Shimano or Campy chains that require precision pin installation).
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This tool is ok. Not bad just average. It does the job. The problem I have with it is, it doesn't help keep the pin in place while positioning everything so it's a really cumbersome to set a pin. It flexes a little when breaking a chain but it feels like it should last a while at least.
