Comments about Pro-Tec Pro Tec Shin Guards:

A GREAT item for the money. I trail ride in forest type areas with lots of poison oak, ivy, sumac etc... these are great for protection from that as well as downed tree limbs and the occasional slip of your foot off the pedal and hitting your shin. The sizing I think only serves to confuse and could be simplified with a YOUTH or ADULT sizing, versus the SMALL/MED or LG/XLG they use now. The SMALL/MED not only fit tighter but are substantially shorter, therefore unless you are a small adult height wise(under 5' tall) these will not give you proper coverage. Don't worry about the LARGE/XLARGE being to big if you have skinny legs they will still fit you nice and snug. I know cause I ordered one of each. So knowing that going in you are buying a very nicely made item, I REALLY LIKE them and am happy with the purchase.

Comments about Pro-Tec Pro Tec Shin Guards:

I wear these for hours and don't even notice them. However, like any product of this type, my legs get a little sweaty. But they stay in place (don't slip) and are very comfortable. If I had one gripe, it's with the sizing. They only come in small/medium or medium/large. I'm average size, right in the middle, so it's a difficult choice. I opted for the S/M and they just barely fit. The center strap particularly seems really short and just barely hooks on the velcro. However, I'm sure if I chose the M/L they would have been too big and not stayed in place. Would have appreciated a Medium size choice.
