Race Face has thought of it all from opposing bolts on the steerer clamp to reduce stress on the steerer to the sharp laser etched logos that will stay looking great ride after ride. The D2 stem combines bomber mountain bike heritage with some BMX attitude.- Machined in Race Face’s British Columbia, Canada manufacturing plant from 6061
- aluminum, this stem is virtually unbreakable.
- Four bolt bar clamp holds bar securely in position.
- Interlocking U-Shaped Handlebar Clamp Geometry.
- Faceplate eliminates “stress risers” which cause your bar to bend or break.
- Opposing bolts on steer tube clamp provides extreme clamping power while reducing stress on the steer tube.

nothing special here, but one positive is that the adapter seems to fit more different breaks and positions than intended which makes it good if you're hacking something weird together. It doesn't look really strong, but that probably doesn't mean anything

I installed this stem on my 2011 Reign with some wider bars and it has made a huge difference. Shortening the cockpit, plus the extra stiffness, improved my bike's downhill and cornering prowess. It does make climbs a touch more cramped, but the tradeoff was worth it.

I bought this stem for my 2011 slayer hoping for more of a perfect fit and boy did it deliver.The bike has much better handling manners compared to the generic feel of a stock stem,one size fits all bike.It feels like my weight is better proportioned to the bike with a smaller feel.Easier to do wheelies also.This bike stem also makes the bike look sick.Whahoooo

I ride mostly cross country with some climbs, down hills and small jumps. There is no flex in this stem and it is the perfect rise and length for me.
