I took off the bash guard and use it on a single speed 29er. It's a good middle of the road crankset. Fairly lightweight for the price.

I bought this crankset for a 26er 1x9 project. I didn't want to spend a ton of money and knew I wouldn't be doing any significant downhills. More of a casual bike for fun. Easy to install. No frills. No problems yet. If you're trying to save money on a downhill rig, these may not hold up as well. Quality component for middle of the road application.
