Good little stem with curb appeal. I use this on a 29er with a steel fork. Its burly enough to handle rocky trails and bombing down river beds here in the Pacific Northwest. Its all you need.

went with wider bars... Then decided I needed a shorter stem. Went from a 105 to a 90mm. Way more control for aggressive cornering. This stem changed my bikes handling. It is awesome. Chrome finished stem is sexy

This stem looks awsome and is lightweight at a very good price. It has sort of a shiny anodized silver color, and looks much much better than its photo displayed in this page. This stem, coupled with a Race Face Evolve Xc bar, replaced a flat bar and long stem that was on my old mountain bike, and I couldn't be happier.

I have used this on my all mountain full susser for 15 months. It has been well hammered. The stem is excellent. It is light enough but robust too. The face plate does as it says and spreads the stresses well. This is far more than a xc stem because it may be low weight but it is designed to be strong and its cheap!!

The Race Face Evolve stem comes in a beautiful sterling/white finish that complements the white finished frame of my new Giant Express. The stock upright geometry was lowered for a more road bike feel. Jensons offered many different lengths to choose from for dialing in the preferred posture. Instructions detailed the correct installation specifics with a fine drawing. Bolt threads fit together with no harsh, oh oh I stirpped it feeling. Inside the stem was well-machined, without hanging metal pieces and ill-fitting seams that I have found with lesser quality stems.

I bought a 100mm version of the Race Face Evolve to replace the stubby (70mm) stem that shipped with the Intense Spider 29 build Jenson sells. Anyway, I had debated going with a 0 degree rise but the 6 degree seemed about right for the fork on the bike.
I looked at weight/prices across the board and this seemed like an excellent deal. Installed easily, looks sharp and has no obvious drawbacks.
