The Race Face Respond stem is made of 6061 forged and blasted aluminum for strength and durability. The 4 bolt clamp securely holds your bar in place while the interlocking U-Shaped Handlebar Clamp Geometry transfers more load through the stem body and not the bolts. The faceplate also eliminates ‘stress risers’ that could lead your handlebars to break or bend.

I love this stem. Bought it as an upgrade for my AM setup..wanted something shorter than my stock stem. As with all Race Face products, it looks great and you know it can take whatever abuse you can throw at it.

A very good looking stem-which first got my attention. Very stout, a little heavy is the trade off, but it won't let you down.

After going between the 45 and 60mm Respond stems, I ordered the 60mm stem to replace the stock one on my trail bike. The box and shipping label said 60mm stem, but there was a 45mm stem in the box. Since I had it, I decided to give it a go, and it works wonderfully.
In retrospect, I am glad I was shipped the 45mm stem, but it is worth noting that I did not receive the length I ordered. It could be a random bookkeeping error or a mistake in packaging, but it may be worth double checking with a phone call before ordering.
In short, it is a wonderful stem.
