I am fan of XT components and this is the best rear derailleur I have ever had on a bike. shifting is smooth and precise and the black finish looks great. It's excellent.

I'm using this XT M780 rear der. with my XT shifter. works really well. I can't believe how smooth it is.
This beats my 2010 Sram x9 shifter by far. Some of the things I noticed are: faster shifting, and less tuning.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
