I like SRAM. Positive, firm shifts but not for the weak thumbed. Shimano is too soft after using SRAM. I've adjusted both and find SRAM a lot easier to find the sweet spot. My experience with Shimano is that it will either shift well on the high or low cogs but not the full range. I've had issues with some recent X9's so went X.0.

XC RACING USE. MIne just fell apart at 25km into a 100km race=disppointing after I outlayed more than $200 for a carbon flop.
No reason for it to just separate into 2 pieces!.
Looked good, nice and light but not made well enough. My old metal based XO derailleur is now back on with no issues.

I bought this product last year at my LBS and I can't praise it enough! I use it for cross-country and all mountain riding particularly. I set the derailleur up in about 25 minutes and literally have only had to clean and lube it in the last year and a half, no tuning needed! It shifts faster than any other product I've had on my bike and shifts smooth, no matter the conditions. I would highly recommend this product to everyone.
