Didn't buy my rear derailleur at Jenson, but found a similar deal a few moths ago, installed it and combined with the x.9 shifters, new shimano deore xt CS-M770 cassette, deore M590 Crankset and the existing Deore front derailleur my shifting is 100% more smooth and efficient. Makes riding my '11 Trek Mamba a joy to ride compared to the shoddy x.4/x.5 and low grade shimano crank/cassette that came stock on it. Worthy & worthwile upgrade!

Comments about Sram X.9 9 Speed Rear Derailleur 2010:
This is my second X9 deraileur and I can't praise it highly enough. Durable enough to survive a wreck my helmet didn't and precise enough to make shifting a pleasure. Recommend this unit highly.

Comments about Sram X.9 9 Speed Rear Derailleur 2010:
Bought this as an upgrade from the X-4 and this product makes a WORLD of difference. It's considerably lighter and much smoother shifting. Only con for MY drivetrain is that I required a long cage which leads to some chain slap over the short cage. If you can afford to change the cassette and crank go for it!

I prefer Sram X0 twist shifters and the X9 works great with them.

Comments about Sram X.9 9 Speed Rear Derailleur 2010:
Great shifting replacement to my XO rear derailleur original equipment. The X9 has benefited from some trickle down SRAM technology. Not much heavier than the replaced XO but performs just as well. Strong spring for precise shifts, even in the muck and mud that is mountain biking in the eastern US.

Bought as a kit with shifters and have to say I cant be happier. Shifting is very precise. For the price I paid I cant be happier. Used them on my Scott Spark 60 2009 and now upgraded to a Scott Spark 60 2011 and installed them on my new bike. Price, precision, durability !!!

I swapped this one in place of my long cage after going to a 2X9 setup.
What I like about this derailer is that it is very crisp in shifting and has held up to quite a bit of abuse so far.

This derailleur has taken a beating, but still shifts fast and smooth. It does have a loud ka-klonk when shifting, but is always accurate.

Comments about Sram X.9 9 Speed Rear Derailleur 2010:
I replaced my Shimano drivetrain with the SRAM x9 based on reviews and frustration of inconsistent shifting. I'm so happy that I did. The SRAM shifting is much more crisp, accurate, and consistent. When I later purchased my roadbike, I was sure to buy the model that had SRAM components.

couldn't install it to go to the lowest ring maybe it's the derailleur hanger that's bent
