Good Forks, Especially for the Price
I put this fork on my Cannondale M800 to upgrade the old Judy's it had. Gotta say the increase in suspension really helped the bike's performance. Still, I wouldn't use this for for heavy riding (enduro, all-mountin, etc.). It's more of a cross-country fork that'll even out the bigger bumps and keep you pretty planted when you're riding a rough strech downhill. I'd definitely recommend it for basic riding, but if you've got the budget, go for something a little more expensive that is more adjustable while you are riding.
Bottom Line: I'd recommend this for a basic upgrade on a budget (like me), or for someone who wants suspension that works like it ought to.

PROS: Adjustable, Good Travel, Easy To Install, Pretty Responsive

CONS: Heavy, Adjustability

BEST USES: Upgrade, Cross Country, Mountain Biking

Superb fork for the money
I have a 1997 Cannondale F500 that keeps on giving me a great ride. It came with a Indy C elastomer fork that was 3.3 stars on mtbr.com reviews. I knew the Indy was was on its' last legs and wanted a lockout for the road. This 17 year upgrade blows it away with coil technology. Much smoother rebound and has poploc remote compatibility. Yes, it is low-end but if your aren't a bike snob that spouts components this works awesome for what I use my bike for: neighborhood exercise over root-invested paths, commuting to gym and store, towing kayak to local lake. I'm 47 now and massive drop biking is a thing of the past. I'm 235 lbs and use a suspension seatpost as well. Great efficiency with the lockout and just the seatpost. With slicks I can ride with my friends who road bike.

Good for for xc bikes
Great fork for someone looking to get an entry level fork that holds up. I have pushed this far beyond its intended usage and it just keeps on performing. Lockout works well but I often forget to turn it off. It has 28mm stancions which does make it feel a bit noodley especially on downhill stuff. I wouldn't run bigger brakes than 160 simply because it flexes too much. If you are trail riding and want to save money then get it, but for all mountain style stuff with bigger 4+ foot drops and techy rock gardens this will fall a bit short.

A great fork especially for entry level.
I bought a Dawes Roundhouse 2500 and replaced the Suntour that came on the bike with this fork. I was surprised at how well of a fork it was for the price. I am not new to MTB'ing but I am on a budget. It was easy to install. I was surprised to see features like the lockout, and adjustable preload. Its not too heavy but it isnt light either. If you are new to biking or on a budget....this is a perfect way to go.

This fork was much better than I expected.
This fork does exactly as advertised. The lock out feature works great but I was most impressed by how much I was able to adjust the rebound damping with a simple turn of a dial on the bottom of the fork. Rock deflection was minimal. It has been a huge upgrade to my old Specialized Hardrock stock fork. I love riding it again.

strong enough for 250lb rider, works gr8
I use this shock up in the hills around camp Pendleton. I like the adjustment and lock out when climbing a hill. Going down hill gives me enough travel. I'm not jumping big air. It does the job for me. 3 to 4 ft. Jumps. Big bang for the buck.

PROS: Nice Adjustment, Durable

CONS: NONE
