Just like its big brothers SRAM Rival features Zero Loss shifting, which engages front shifts immediately. Multiple cable routing options allows for both brake and shifter cables to run along either side of the handlebar. SRAM Rival also incorporates the popular reach adjust feature, which SRAM invented, and allows riders to customize their brake and shift levers. Sold in pairs (Front and Rear)

When converting my bike to 2x10 I was trying to decide between 105 or Ultegra, until I test rode a bike with Rival.
It took ten minutes to get used to the Double Tap and the hood fit was perfect for me. The single paddle design allows you to downshift without changing your brake finger position, very useful in a paceline through rolling hills.

On a recent cross build I decided to use the shifters. Having Red on my road bike I was curious how these would perform. I am very impressed so far with the performance. They have the feel of their big brothers without the high price. One thing I would note is they are a little pricey for a near entry level shifter set. However after using them for a few months now the price is worth what you get out of these shifters.

I use these on my scattante r660 and they work very well. They shift quickly with my force dérailleurs and don't miss. Very lightweight with the carbon brake lever and also fits my hands perfectly whether im in the drops or on the hoods. I couldn't be happier with them

I am now an Sram convert for life. The shifting is so crisp and easy. I have used or rode almost every Shimano group (except Dura Ace) and the Sram is superior on all accounts. Having one paddle for up and down shifting is quick and responsive. It does take a little longer to "unload" a ton of gears, but being able to pull the paddle in while sprinting more than makes up for it!
