I bought this crankset for my wife to replace the stock, heavy, bashguarded crankset on her Specialized Stumpjumper FSR. Everything seemed dandy with the crankset, until we noticed the small chainring had two broken teeth. This is after not more than 15 hours on the new crankset. Seems odd, never had this problem with Shimano's XT crankset, or any other crankset for that matter, so maybe it's an anomaly. In any case, the crankset works and looks nice, and if not for the broken teeth so early on, it's a great deal.

I bought this crankset to change out my 3X10 to a 2X10 setup. What a difference! These cranks are lighter, look great, and while on sale are the best value you can get in a 2X10 crankset. The shifting combined with X9 derailleurs and X7 shifters is crisp and exact. Different color options are also a nice touch.

At this sale price this is the best crankset you can get by far. Top notch construction and manufacturing, super durable, smooth easy shifting.
I replaced the stock Shimano M542 triple on my C'dale a year and a half ago and they still feel as good as new. I put at least 10 hours a week on them, varying terrain, and have only mis-shifted once while gearing down on a steep climb.
If you take care of them and keep your drivetrain clean they should last for years.
Best upgrade I've made to my ride.
