Comments about Sram Upper Hanger Bolt Assembly:
This Jenson part RD404Z03 is SRAMs 00.0000.200.715. This part from a Jenson Oct 2012 order was mfgr'd in Week 31 of 2012 so it obviously was not old inventory sitting around.
This hanger bolt, b-bolt adjuster collar and snap ring fit perfectly into an XO RD dated Feb 2003. So the description one reads isn't inclusive enough.
The hanger bolt is essentially a bushing bolt into the RD parallelogram body. In my case there was some play when the RD was tightened up on to the bike and rd hanger. However nothing that would be unexpected on a well used RD from 2003 and I believe is entirely due to the RD being well used.
Once the bike was back together, new RD hanger, RD hanger adjusted with a DAG-2 and cable adjusted it shifted like new despite it being well used, enjoyed and bashed up a bit.
