I love this saddle. I own a Brooks B17 Imperial on my Xtracycle, and was considering a second for my Jamis touring bike but thought I'd give the Spoon a shot due to the great write-ups I had read. I am glad I did. It is different, indeed from the B17 Imperial, more agressive is the first thing I would note. It is okay for casual rides of a few miles but for more than that you'll need chamois. I prefer it on agressive, longer rides where it simply gives me the control I need while my weight is distributed more in my pedaling than in sitting on the perch. I just love it, and the brown looks nice on my touring bike with leather grip tape. It is nice not having cover it up or make sure it's locked up properly like my brooks. Very, very low maintenance.

Really looking forward to their new product, the SCOOP, which I have ordered for my fat bike.

I've had this saddle on my rigid 29er for a few months now. For the price, it's great. It is solidly constructed, not very heavy and looks really good in brown.

It's not perfect though. I am starting to notice that the brown polyurethane laminate is starting to peel towards the nose of the saddle. But the bigger issue is comfort. I can't say this is a comfortable saddle for me. I'm not sure if the so called "pressure relief channel" is really working, in fact I feel a lot of pressure where such a channel should be! Also it seems quite narrow, my sit bones rest right on the edges of the wings. I know everyone's butt is a different shape, but for me this saddle is pretty uncomfortable (and I never ride without padded shorts).

That being said, I'll probably keep using it. Ideally I'd have something a little better for when the trail gets rough, but it's a great value and is very stylish.

I'm by no means a pro but comfort is quite obvious with this saddle. I honestly cannot believe the fit and design for the price. The hype is real folks, try it and you'll see.

Comments about Charge Spoon Cromo Saddle:

I am a weekend warrior (and as many afternoons that I can sneak away from work warrior). I'm generally a cross country guy with a bit of free ride flavor. This is mounted on an old Specialized Epic. First and foremost, it is a definite upgrade compared to the old (2004) Body Geometry saddle. I'm sure some of the newer Epics come with fancy new Body Geometry saddles like the Romin or whatever. If you want one of those I'm sure they're great but I'm also sure you're gonna pay for it. This saddle is soft but supportive and seems to be well made. I've only ridden it for a couple months (and in off season Northwest weather), but it appears that it will hold up very well. It's been kinda wet and it seems to shed water somewhat and dry fast. As far as CONs, I'm not sure that the claimed weight is accurate but the seat is pretty light. I love it and I will always consider it a great saddle option if and when I have to replace one in the future.

Comments about Charge Spoon Cromo Saddle:

Installed on my commuter bike as an upgrade from the OEM saddle. Minimal padding, but the design of the seat really works with my body, so the ride is pretty comfortable.

Comments about Charge Spoon Cromo Saddle:

I first tried this saddle when I bought a Charge Mixer (where is came standard). Since then, I have bought a spoon to replace the stock saddle on each of my other bikes.

This saddle fits me great. Is has a little bit of cushion without being 'a soft couch' type saddler. It also has a small cutout for the tailbone which works great.

At first I thought the stitching would rub and be uncomfortable, but that was not the case. Not aware of it at all while riding.

A number of people have commented on the saddle -- both the look and the feel. They all think it is a super high end expensive piece ...

The only con -- if I had to pick one -- is the slightly odd color combos. Black with orange, or brown w/ white text? Why not just solid colors?

Comments about Charge Spoon Cromo Saddle:

They say "light, durable, affordable, you can only have two when buying bike parts", but with the Charge Spoon, you get all three! The saddle is well built and very comfortable. And I'm not sure you can find a lighter saddle at this price point. One thing to note is that the saddle cover is a bit grippy, so it takes a little getting used to when sliding back or forward while riding. This does not cause any problems, just different if you're used to a smoother cover. Don't hesitate to pick this one up if you're in the market for a saddle.

Your bottom side may vary, this saddle works well for me. Many other good reviews, and at such a low price I tried it and like it.

Replaced a factory saddle on my commuter bike that just didn't feel right. The Spoon is pretty firm, very lightly padded.
