I installed the seat post on a Specialized Epic Evo 29 with a Carbon Spec Romin saddle. I applied carbon paste on the surface touching the carbon bike frame and it has held up very well with the stock seat tube clamp. As for the saddle, if you have non-carbon rails on it, you're good to go. But my saddle has carbon rails, so I had to buy the bigger seat clamp to accommodate the thicker carbon rails on the Romin. Now this part is very important. Make sure to apply carbon paste on the rails and the rail clamp. Then put it together and tighten the clamp to the recommended pressure. Finally, if you adjust your seat backwards to accommodate your torso, try not to on this product. Lengthen your stem instead. You also would not want to lower this post for a descent and raise it for when you climb. The shiny coating gets dull when you do this. Once its set up, this seat post works very well and looks very good. Would I buy it again? Sure. But not before I try the carbon Fizik or the Syntace.
