The GT Sanction 2.0 is not for the faint at heart. The Sanction 2.0 was designed and developed for riders that want to get rowdy on the trail. The bike is strong and burly enough to handle the abuse of the mountain, yet light enough to be thrown around. The Monocoque/ Hydroformed XM Metal™ frame features 150mm of travel with an Independent Drivetrain (I-Drive) platform. I-Drive is unique in that regardless of how the rear wheel moves, it won’t pull on the chain, crank, or pedals. This results in improved pedaling efficiency. With I-Drive you’ll notice reduced drag, preserved momentum, and a faster smoother ride.

The Sanction 2.0 has a 66° head angle, makes for a comfortable ride when aiming your rig down-hill. Yet, it’s upright enough to be able to climb up the next pitch. The Sanction 2.0 features a mix of high quality components made by various heavy hitters in the mountain bike industry. Here are just a few components to brag about: the Rock Shox Lyrik R Coil fork, Formula RX 180mm front and rear brakes, Fox Shox Float RL rear shock, X- Fusion HiLo height adjust seat post, and the WTB Silverado Race SL saddle.

    Great all around bike, can climb very well for a bike this burly, the rear suspension lockout combined with the i-drive system off-set the slack head tube angle. The bike tears down the trails like a champ. I looked around a lot, I don't think you can find a better bike anywhere for this price.

    Don't by this beast unless your height is over 6'1", or you like really tall, long bikes... It's an XL, which is 20" seat-tube. I probably should be on a 19" or 19.5", but I got the XL because the price is awesome, and I don't give a rats about bike sizes, I just want to ride trails, and drink beers, which this rig is perfect for.

    The lockout on the Fox Float rear shock is great for climbing, but switch it on for the downs, and this sled hauls. It eats the rough stuff, and loves huge berms and rollers... Very fun, almost-downhill bike (for this guy who was only used to xc/trail bikes...).
