These are very similar to the "Troy Lee Designs SE Elbow Guard" that are now discontinued. I had been using the TLD SE Elbow Guards for the last two years and loved them. They are now worn beyond repair. I live in Sedona, AZ and out here, I prefer to have WHITE protective wear. I could care less about getting dirt stains or the fact that white tends to turn grey over time. I just don't want to wear black or any dark colors in the desert unless it is below 50 degrees. I really don't get why nobody makes protective gear in white anymore. My TLD SE Elbow Guards were white

Anyway, I decided to give these a try. Yes I know that they are not white but I decided to pair these with another product and the result is truly amazing. If you wear Elixir Golf Sports Cooling Arm Sleeves under these elbow guards, the guards stay put and your arms don't overheat. I cannot stress enough how awesome this combo is for comfort and staying cool!!! The Elixer sleeves come in many colors, including white!

Another thing that I like about this combo is the fact that the sleeves are separate from the elbow pads themselves. In the past, I have had elbow pads with built in sleeves tear while removing them. This would happen because the fabric would be so saturated in sweat that the sleeves wouldn't slip over my skin well while trying to remove them.

These elbow guards are very light and well made. I think that these are going to turn out to be extremely durable and will probably hold up to crashes and washing over the next few years.

Bought these to help protect my wounded elbow (and to prevent more gashes) during XC riding. They don't slide down like my old 661s, but they don't cover as much area either, meaning I can still get bush whacked on my arms.
For lightweight casual riding protection, pretty good. I've banged em up against tree trunks and hardly even noticed. Good value for the price.

Comments about Troy Lee Designs Elbow Guard:

Have used them in one race so far and didn't 'need' them because I didn't crash. They fit me okay, but getting the strap/buckle alignment correct so they didn't dig into my arm took some work.

A little disappointed that this Troy Lee Designs brand was made in China. But the price was cheap. Quality is okay, not great. They get the job done. You get what you pay for, I guess

One size doesn't fit all

By Bridgesky

Comments about Troy Lee Designs Elbow Guard:

I purchased these because the price was right and they were one size fits all. Unfortunately, even with the straps winched down all the way, they were still too big. That being said, I ended up giving them to my boyfriend, and they work great for him. He hasn't fallen on them yet, But they seem to be snug enough to stay in place in a crash. They have nic hard shell protection with good forearm coverage.

Good basic pads

Purchased for a trip to Mammoth knowing I would use these hard pads only rarely. They fit nicely and can be tightened. For infrequent use they'll get the job done.

Great Elbow Guards!

Comments about Troy Lee Designs Elbow Guard:

These elbow guards are very easy to put on, very easy to adjust, and are very comfortable to wear while riding. I wore them for the first time yesterday while riding down Avery's Creek in Pisgah. I did not crash, so I can not say whether they would have protected me well enough or not. When I have that inevitable crash, if they fail me, I will update my review.
