Each Rocky Mountain complete bike includes free professional assembly by Jenson USA. Prior to shipping your bike, we will completely build and tune it, just as we would for an in-store purchase. Then, we'll partially disassemble and carefully pack your bike for shipping. Please allow 3 business days for the bike build process prior to shipment.
When your bike arrives, it will take about 30 minutes to unpack and perform basic re-assembly tasks (such as installing the front wheel and seatpost) using common hand tools. Jenson USA has created a helpful video (below) to guide you through this process. Stuck? Please call us at (888) 880-3811 and we’ll be happy to help.

I held off buying this bike as long as I could, it replaces a 2003 Enduro pro. I tend to keep equipment a long time and it was worth it. I found I was wanting more travel and a stiffer frame for fast fire roads and rutted single track I ride in the Los Angles area. I'm a slow climber but as of late make up for it descending. At 32 pounds with peddles this is not a light weight bike but then I weigh 195 (I can loss the weight). It climbs better than I expected considering I'm use to locking the rear shock. It climbs best seated and is very precise, out of the saddle efforts let you know its a 6 inch plus travel bike. It is flex free and corners well. I run the sag at 35% or more and the ride is nice. The brakes are a single finger effort and very controllable, the 8 inch disk on the rear requires a light touch. It shifts well and I'm changing to a triple up front, the shiftier is set up for it (nice touch)and It only requires a set of rings. The forks and wheels are top shelf and extremely stiff and I have converted to tubeless with a Stans kit. The medium was the right size for me, 5'11" with a 32 inch inseam. The only change I needed to make was to a 100mm stem to stretch out the cockpit to keep my knees off the bar on steep all out efforts. A large would have been to big. Rocky Mountain did a great job with this bike and its worth a look if your looking for a strong descender and reasonable climber that's specked out so well.

I use the Slayer 70 for riding in dry, rocky terrain with lots of elevation and long descents in Chile, South America.

Comments about Rocky Mountain Slayer 70 Bike '12:
So far the bike is great. It rides as they described. I ride alot of hills to get to the downhill and the bike climbs great. The Fox shocks soak up the bumps on the way down. I have not found anything about the bike I don't like. It would be nice if Fox had more detailed info included about adjusting there shocks.
