Comments about Shimano WH6700 Ultegra Tubeless Wheelset:
I have come to love tubeless tires and this wheelset accommodates them well. This is a very economical yet high performance set of wheels. Once you have mastered the art of installing tubeless tires (upgrade to removable core valve stems and it makes the injection of sealant much cleaner and easier), they ride like a dream and flats diminish (in my case) but 50%. Puncture? Not a problem! Simply throw a tube on and continue your ride. Only downside is that you have to have a compressor to seat the tire the first time! But the wheelset is great! Jenson's price beating strategy allowed me to find them cheaper than my first set!

Comments about Shimano WH6700 Ultegra Tubeless Wheelset:
Shimano put a great set of wheels out there with these Ultegras. I just recently converted my Scott frame to all Ultegra components including these wheels. What a great decision. Taught, smooth and light, these wheels look right at home amongst competitive riders. They whistle down the road and came well trued out of the box. I am glad I got these at a great price. Do yourself a favor and buy a set!

Comments about Shimano WH6700 Ultegra Tubeless Wheelset:
My last set of wheels, Mavic Akysium came on my 2008 Giant TCR which was very strong and durable. I am a 220 lbs. rider and just last August I snapped a spoke. I've always had problems snapping spokes because my leg strength is pretty good and my torque weight ration can easily rip a wheel apart. Most of the time I've broken spokes have been coming out of the saddle to hammer an ascent. Being an avid cyclist I also know that once they start popping it's just going to continue until either you re-lace or buy a new wheel set. That said I did baby my Akysium by staying in the saddle most of the time. So I debated about upgrading from Akysium to SLS and all entry level carbon wheels from all the makers out there. Well just about everything was pushing me to about 1k. Knowing it was bike closeout time I knew I could get myself into another full Ultegra carbon bike just over 2k and invest that 1k into that. Well I got the bug for a Madone 5.2. Bontrager wheel set was there entry level weighing in around 2200 grams, almost the same weight as my Aksium's. Just above the 5.2 was the Madone 5.9 on it had the new Ultegra di2 groupo and a set of Ultegra Wheels weighing in around 1600 grams. The wheels are designed much like the Mavic SLS. Let's be straight Shimano does it right. The 2012 5.9 closeout was only 1200 bucks more than the bike I was wanting, yeah only 1200 because it had been demo'd. Straight I've had my Madone 5.9 now for better than a month and the wheels are a dream. yes they are faster. From hours of research you want your rims to be light to reduce centrifugal drag. These wheels are snappy and hug the road. Now the bike I'm riding might be adding to the performance but I'm telling you these wheel s are night and day above the Akysium and from what I read the SLS have proven cracking problem and I could not find that issue in research about the Ultegra Wheels. My average MPH has gone from 15.1 to 15.4 MPH…usual ride is a 40 mile loop with 2500 feet of climbing. The wheels are also tubeless ready but my bike came with tubes. Once I wear them don I'm going to convert. Now, I wanted asset of carbon, mostly because they look cool, but realty, watching the tours, a lot of riders have standard wheels in climbing stages and I love to climb. Hey look at Bob Roll's commentary on Ultegra wheels via YouTube. These wheels rock and by the way, the spokes are supposed to be made of some superior alloy. My group ride Saturday mornings, now I'm about ready to move into the A group. These wheels coupled with my new bike have brought me to a new level. It's true invest in a light wheel set, but don't leave out quality and you know that's what Shimano is all about.

Comments about Shimano WH6700 Ultegra Tubeless Wheelset:
I ordered the ultegra wheelset to replace my American Classic 420. I had 6000 miles on the 420s. I ordered the wh6700 online and received the wheelset in four days with no damage. The bearings are a little tight but a small adjustment was all that they needed. I used tubes for right now. The tires popped right on using only my hands. The beads gave a loud snap when locked in. I have only 300 miles on them right now. The wheels feel solid and wind up fairly fast. Wheels still true. I am 5'08 at 185 lbs.. Wheels are on my Cervelo S1.

Comments about Shimano WH6700 Ultegra Tubeless Wheelset:
What I like about this wheelset is that the hubs are super smooth, so you feel like the wheels spin forever. Bought this wheelset to replace the stock wheels on my roubaix, do not regret the purchase. Made a very noticable difference in performance, you'll feel an increase of at least 1-3 MPH, especially on climbs. Quality of design is great, Like the understated graphite color, does not scream look at me. Although those who know realize its a quality set of wheels, pretty strong and keeps true, even with very few spokes in front compared to traditional wheelsets. I've gotten some nice compliments on them.

Comments about Shimano WH6700 Ultegra Tubeless Wheelset:
What a great wheelset. These are my first real wheelset on my first road bike. You just pull em out of the well packed box, put in the skewers, take out the tubeless stems (which means for tubes you don't need rim tape since the rims are seamless inside), transfer your cassette over (my 10 speed Shimano 105 cassette went right on without any spacers needed), and start riding. The wheels are true right out of the box. My bike now accelerates and rolls noticibily faster. Between the wheels and new tires I took 1.3lbs off the bike! Beautiful one piece machined aluminum hubs, bladed spokes. I'm done. Buy these.
