I installed this as part of a 1x10 setup on a new build. Frankly when I saw this derailleur, the SLX shifter set on sale and the SLX cranks for $89, I knew I had my next drivetrain lined up.
To review this RD specifically, all I can say is "typical Shimano quality". Shifts crisply and positively, reasonable weight, and generally durable, although I have not had it long. I'd say the best part is how quickly and easily it sets up. Mount it, tension cable slightly, and adjust. It's fairly typical for Shimano but still impresses me.
I used the mid cage length, 32T front with a 11-36 cassette, very happy with this arrangement.
I gave the product four out of five stars only because it's not the newer clutch design. It is still an excellent choice for upgrade or new build, especially considering the price.

This item needs a better description because it would not work correctly with my Shimano drivetrain and I had to return it, costing me $11.00
It was installed by LBS but it would not work correctly. The pulleys were too close to the cassette.
