The heart of the Fuji Altamira LE Di2 road bike is the full High Modulus C-4 carbon fiber frame. The engineers and designers at Fuji Bikes designed its monocoque construction to keep it light and very strong. Stiffness is enhanced by utilizing an oversized down tube connected to a BB-86 bottom bracket and asymmetric seat stays. Pairing the carbon fiber frame is the Fuji FC 330 carbon fiber fork with a tapered steerer tube. The ultra thin seat stays and carbon tuning prevents all of this stiffness from becoming jarring and uncomfortable. What you end up with is a bike that is responsive enough for the top cyclists in the world, but with the comfort and compliance to spend all day in the saddle.
One of the first things you will notice about the Fuji Altamira LE Di2 is the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 electronic shifting that graces the beautiful high modulus carbon fiber frame. Shimano Di2 provides lightning quick shifts that are perfect each and every time. More impressive is the shifting precision of the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 front derailleur. In our experience here at Jenson USA, we have been able to execute lightning fast front shifts even while pedaling out of the saddle! Performance like that is why the top World Tour professionals enjoy using Di2 week in and week out. The Fuji LE Altamira Di2 includes Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 derailleurs and shifters on the front and rear. Shimano Ultegra cranks round out the Fuji Altamira.

It took me 5 weeks reviewing and comparing bikes before deciding on the Altamira Limited Edition. Jenson USA offers the bike at the lowest cost that I was able to find. Fuji's website indicates that this is a 2012 model rather than a 2011, but who is counting? This bike is amazing compared to my 1973 Fuji's The Newest, which is still fully functional. Anyone looking to upgrade from a classic alloy frame to a new carbon composite should consider this bike.
The eltronic shifting with the Dura Ace Di2 is what closed the deal. Amazing!!
