I replaced a set of 2006 Alivio shifters. I also upgraded my cassette, chain and rear derailleur. Overall, the upgrade to 10 speed was a vast improvement over my 7 year old 8 speed drivetrain. I did the installation myself and found it to be very easy.
I love the two way release option on these shifters.
I was specifically looking for a set of 10 speed shifters with 2 way release and at the price I paid, this was an unbeatable deal.
