The El Moco has a mix of low ramped rounded knobs in a paddle pattern across the center of the tread as well as full sized knobs for cornering. The El Moco is fast rolling yet still has excellent traction especially over damp areas. If your trail has miscellaneous debris such as roots, rocks, and rubble, the El Moco will handle it like a champ. To provide you with the best of both worlds (traction and speed,) Kenda uses their DTC compound on this tire. The center tread is composed of L3R Pro compound, which is 60 shore A durometer. In other words it’s hard, which makes the tire roll quickly. The cornering knobs have STICK-E compound (50 shore A durometer.) The softer stickier compound provides you with maximum traction.
