I have used this several times now, and it has worked great each time; got the job done. It can't really get any better. It is strong, and it seems like it will last for my lifetime. I trust in Park Tool, every thing I have from them works great.

One thing, it does have a tendency to fall out, but if you hold it with your hand and tilt the wheel while working on it, it will stay in. I am not sure, but the tool with the spindle might be better about not falling out.

The FR-5 would be more stable with a center pin to go through the axle hole. I chipped two of the teeth on the FR-5 trying to loosen a stubborn, old cassette. The teeth on the tool got chewed up under the pressure too. I'm not superman. I will try the Park Tool FR-5G next. I've used previous FR-5 tools before with no problems....this one must have met its match when facing a ten year old cassette.

I needed this tool to upgrade my cassette. It worked very well. No idea if I'll need it again, but for this price, it's a fine addition to the tool box.

Fit just right and made taking the cassette off a breeze. I really had to crank on it to get the cassette ring loose, but the cassette remover held up. No chipping, no breaking. Very happy with this purchase.

This is one of those tools you'll only use a few times per year, but are truly essential when you need them, especially for the price!

You will need a chain whip, but that's another specific too that's great to have.

                                  A:

That depends on the style of torque wrench. This tool has external wrench flats for use with a box end wrench or crescent wrench. There are some torque wrenches like this. If you are using a socket style torque wrench you would need a big enough socket attached to engage the wrench flats of this tool. It does not have a socket driver fitting built in.
