Focus works with current and former professional cyclists to develop and test their bicycles. Their bikes are designed by pros, for pros. Focus has (what they call) the German Advantage. Their production and administrative facilities are located in Cloppenburg, in Lower Saxony. Focus continually implements the newest and best manufacturing methods and invests in the best machinery and most skilled manpower.
The Super Bud series was designed with the marathon athlete in mind. The Super Bud 3.0 is an XC monster. The hydroformed aluminum frame provides maximum efficiency and is aesthetically pleasing. Zip and zoom through tight turns, and power through the straight aways. Your competition will be green with envy, as they watch you cross the finish line from the distance. Traveling uphill isn’t a challenge with the Super Bud. This 30.2 pound bike is as light as an angel- food cake, yet hardy enough to take a beating from the variable terrain. Point the Super Bud down-hill and you won’t be disappointed. The RockShox Monarch RT3 will absorb large hits and keep your tires on the ground for maximum control over steering. The Super Bud will leave you hungry for more.
The Super Bud 3.0 is outfitted with high- quality components. The Fox F- Series fork is an air- sprung fork perfect for the trails. The 32mm stanchions prevent flex, and produce reliable suspension. With a Fox fork, you'll never worry about your fork sticking at the wrong time. The RockShox Monarch rear shock swallows up rocks, roots, and other debris. Shimano XT shifters paired with an SLX front derailleur, and an XT rear derailleur, allow you to cycle through the gears with ease. With all this speed and power, Focus had to install strong reliable brakes. The Avid Elixir 3 hydraulic brakes were chosen. With excellent modulation, power, and ease of maintenance, they compliment the bike perfectly.

Comments about Focus Super Bud 3.0 Bike '11:
I'm mainly a cross country single track rider who has always stuck with hard tails, so this is my first full suspension bike. The main reason I purchased this bike was the value of the components it came with, and I am happy with the overall performance. My only real gripe is that the standover height is crazy, I'm 6'3 and I can barely put both feet on the ground. But overall a good choice for someone looking for a solid cross country bike with components they wont grow out of

Comments about Focus Super Bud 3.0 Bike '11:
I am currently riding the Focus Super Bud 3.0 in northern Chile's Atacama Desert. Typical ride is 40 to 50 K, on sand, gravel, crushed rock, old mule paths, dirt back roads. Terrain elevation differential is 500 m plus. After 8.000 K on hardtail I am elated with the RockShox Monarch TR2 rear suspension. The 42/32/24 crankset coupled with the 10 speed cassette let you climb just about any incline. High end Shimano components let you ride with confidence in remote areas.
I am 66 years young and feel grips and saddle could be a bit softer on my humanity.
