The classic Park truing stand was designed as the perfect tool to true road wheels, and it's still the benchmark tool for this task. However, it hasn't kept up with the times. It is impossible to use this truing stand with any through-axle wheels without buying additional accessories. Park's own through-axle adapters are poorly designed, and don't work with some wider hubs. New hub designs make this tool outdated, and honestly due for a redesign. This is not an inexpensive tool. For the price, it ought to be better.

Very well built. Makes it really easy to work on a wheel. One thing: I wish the bottom of the stand was flat or a little concave as it wobbles on my bench - yes I clamp it down but the clamping surface should not be convex.

I thought this needed to be bolted to a counter, but it does not. With the Tilting Base, it can sit on my kitchen counter, desk, or on the floor while I true up my wheels. Get the Centering Gauge so that you can be sure the calipers are centered. Then you will solve vertical and lateral truing and dishing at the same time.

This stand is the industry standard for a reason: it works. And will continue to work for years. It's overbuilt and rebuildable. If you're serious about building wheels, this is the stand to get.
The shop I worked at had two of them -- each was used daily with everything from 29er wheels to carbon tubulars.

This stand is very good quality, made from heavy gauge steel with good quality components. Should last a lifetime even with moderate abuse. Spare parts available and can be upgraded with dial guages if you are that way inclined.
Needs to be bolted to a bench top and/or use with the optional tilting stand. Then it will be rock-solid and give good results.
Pretty expensive for what it is, but then again I had to ship to AUS which ain't cheap. But still more expensive if bought over here so all good.

This thing will last a lifetime of abuse. Engineered to be rock solid (when bolted to a base, or clamped). Controls are smooth and precise and all parts are very good quality and are replaceable parts. Don't bother with cheap stands, get this baby instead, you will never be disappointed, nor will you ever need to replace it or be frustrated with it.
I'm glad I resisted my usual impulse to be cheap. Sometimes it's better to scream, gnash your teeth and open the wallet. :-)

I do not have to remove the tires from my 29er wheels to true them! No cheap plastic parts here. Replaceable rim guide covers so you don't scratch those expensive wheels. Can verify wheel centering right on the stand. This truing stand is built to last a lifetime.
