The Dakar XCT 4 is a genuine piece of rocket science. Featuring a Dyad, M30/T700 high modulus carbon front triangle and asymmetric chainstays, the XCT 4 is extremely laterally stiff laterally. Combined with a slight rising-rate geometry and low wheel travel-to-shock ratio that's super active for rapid response and full-time traction, the XCT 4 is featherweight that can hang with the big boys.

Great bike. The geometry of the bike works very well with the two position Talas 140/110. With the slackish HA, on 140 setting the bike is stable and comfortable on descents and on 110 it corners and climbs pretty darn good, doesn't hurt that the bike only weighs about 27 lbs. with pedals. I did not expect the Talas to make that much of a difference but it does. The components are top notch and at the closeout price it's a steal.

Bought this bike for my wife. She loves it. We switched it to tubeless after her first flat. Arizona has lots of cactus thorns. Only downside is the Joplin seat post which makes her seat a little wobbly. Climbs strong.
