Wanted a SPD road shoe and these matched the rest of my kit. I'm using them with PD-A600 pedals and really liking them. My bad weather (aka hand me down) MTN SPD shoes have a narrow toe with no vent hole or ratchet strap so I very much appreciate the features of these Shimanos. I usually wear a US 11 street shoe but wanted these to fit snug so went with a 45 and they fit great; although the wider toe is not very aero these let me wiggle my toes. My feet are a bit wide with a high bridge; width wise they are perfect but they can cut in a bit on the top of my foot just ahead of my ankle, with careful placement of the tongue I've minimized this. The snug fit means they feel a bit uncomfortable at first but after about 2km things seem to mesh and I don't even notice my feet for the rest of the ride. I use them mostly for my 24km round trip commute but have also logged a couple 40km trips in comfort. Weight wise I guess they are a bit heavier than others but I haven't noticed any issues with my 90-100 cadence and brief 110+. I typically use my other shoes for colder weather but these can be used to about -10C with a basic shoe cover and good on their own above 6C; I've ridden in 30C and foot temp and moisture is well controlled. I was hesitant to buy shoes online but found these here on sale for 1/3 the price of something local and comparable. They're a great shoe and for the price an unbelievable bargain.

I have used them just a few times because of bad weather but so far the shoes have been good. They seem to be a little loose but the racketing strap get them snug and comfortable. The only thing that I don't like is the tip of the shoes. They could be a little more rounded and not so square. Just picky. The price was great, need to save where you can.
