Park Tool's Super Grip Carbon and Alloy Assembly Compound (SAC-2) helps to create a tighter grip between two slippery surfaces. This compound is ideal for carbon, aluminum, and steel seatposts, handlebars and stems.

Park Tool notes that this compound is not for threaded surfaces. It is also NOT for bearing lubrication.

Comments about Park Tool SAC-2 Supergrip Compound:

Best use on seat post and handle bar ( carbon to carbon or carbon to alloy ) . Don't use grease on these area as it only make it more difficult to tighten and could lead to over-tightening or damaged.

Comments about Park Tool SAC-2 Supergrip Compound:

I have a Giant reign that came with a giant contact sl dropper. This dropper has a shortcoming becuase when you hit the saddle it rotates.
A friend of mine gave a little of giant grip compound and it worked.
I'm hoping the park tool sac-2 is as good as the giant

Comments about Park Tool SAC-2 Supergrip Compound:

I had an ongoing slippage problem using an aluminum seatpost in a Ti frame. After applying the compound to the seat tube, I could feel an increase in friction even before tightening the clamp. After 200 miles I can report no movement. Good stuff.

Comments about Park Tool SAC-2 Supergrip Compound:

This is a simple product with a simple mission. Make things that clamp together stay put. The seatpost on my carbon-framed XC bike would migrate down on rough trails. A dab of this stuff and it stays put. Doesn't take a lot and it is surprisingly durable since I drop my post at least twice on every ride, four rides a week and I've applied it once in three months. One tube should be enough for 6 or 7 lifetimes.

Comments about Park Tool SAC-2 Supergrip Compound:

Seat post slipped down over the couse of an hour ride. Didn't want to get crazy with the clamping force on a carbon frame, so applied a thin coat of blue goo and it's all good now. Can still drop the seat when needed, but it stays put when clamped. Also great for handlebar clamp.
