The Race Face Rally FR Arm Guard features a two piece hard shell for maximum protection of the elbow and forearm. Underneath the hard shell is a layer of foam that absorb impacts that hit the hard shell. The two pieces of the shell are independent of each other and that allows the elbow joint to have more range of motion. That increased ability to move along with the lycra sleeve make the Race Face Rally Arm Guard fit better and stay more comfortable. Locking D-ring closure in conjunction with the lycra sleeve keep the Rally FR Arm Guard in place. This is an excellent product and I'm very happy with it. I wish it had shin protection, but that's not the products fault.
It tends to make you sweat a lot more than usual because it covers a lot of your skin with its soft straps and padding. It's very comfortable, but I went through an extra water bottle on a days ride. Other than that, great pads.

I bought these for my son and I was very pleased with the fit and comfort of the pad. It has a nice inner liner at the inside bend of the elbow. It covered his forarm and elbow very well. It has a very soft padding behind the harder outter shell.
