Rip through your local cross country trail in record time. The efficiency of a hardtail cannot be beat. Jamis poured tons of R&D into the Dakota dXC Team bike. The dXC is comprised of high modulus carbon fiber, with a Dyad XC Elite lay-up. The Dyad XC Elite lay-up is lighter, stiffer, and snappier than traditional carbon weaves. The asymmetrical chainstays harness every pedal stroke. Vertically compliant full- length seatstays keep the rear tire planted and tracking as you’re haulin’ down the singletrack.

Jamis could have said “Good enough” with such an impressive frame. However, they took it one step further. The Jamis Dakota dXC Team is stacked with award winning component, one right after another. The RockShox SID World Cup is incredibly light, without giving up stiffness. The xLoc remote lockout allows you to quickly and easily lockout the fork during prolonged climbs, for maximum efficiency. The RockShox SID World Cup allows you to externally adjust rebound and low speed compression for a truly customized ride. American Classic tubeless wheels have proven to be the magical combination of lightweight as well as strength, stiffness, and control. The tubeless rim supports the tire for improved ground control. This translates into quick acceleration, more speed over rolling hills and mountain goat climbing. The wide rim keeps the tire from rolling around resulting in more control while descending. The Jamis Dakota dXC Team features a SRAM XX front derailleur, SRAM XX rear derailleur, SRAM XX BB30 crankset, are you seeing a pattern? The Dakota dXC is fully kitted in SRAM XX components. Throughout the bike, you’ll find tons of added goodies including a WTB Silverado Team saddle with NiCro tubular rails, Ritchey lock- on grips, and a SRAM BB30 integrated bottom bracket.

It’s time to pick your jaw up off the ground, and swing your leg over this bike, and ride to the podium.

Comments about Jamis Bicycles Jamis Dakota DXC Team Bike 2011:

Excellent service, I live in the Province of Quebec located in Canada, I had the bike delivered at a UPS store in Ogdensburg where I drove for pick-up and everything was perfect. the bike was in perfect condition except for the disc brakes which I had to adjust slightly before using because they were rubbing against the pads (both front and rear). I will definitely be ordering more items in the future from Jenson USA, super happy with everything.

Comments about Jamis Bicycles Jamis Dakota DXC Team Bike 2011:

I was a bit skeptical about purchasing a 26" hardtail because all the rage is 27.5" now, but I really have to say, I am so stoked on this bike. Coming from a full suspension mountain bike, I assumed that the Dakota DXC was going to be difficult to ride, boy-oh-boy I was sooo wrong. Though the Dakota DXC is a hardtail, it doesn't feel like it. The frame soaks up a lot of the jolts, so its a super comfortable ride. This bike is the definition of pedaling efficiency. Hills that I once huffed and puffed going up are easy- peasy. The geometry is spot on. It's upright but not too up right where you feel like you'll nose dive. It's perfect. Perfect for cross country, perfect for singletrack, perfect perfect perfect!! I haven't even talked about the components yet. I love the fork. I had lockout on my old bike but it was adjusted on the crown, so obviously I never touched it. You don't realize how often you use the lockout until its so easy to. The SID XX is phenomenal. The only thing I will caution you is that when I got the bike the gate was completely closed and I was like what the heck is going on, it's rigid. You just have to move the little dial. The fork is great. The XX components are awesome.

All in all, this bike is awesome. I ride a small and it weighs 19 lbs and some change.

Comments about Jamis Bicycles Jamis Dakota DXC Team Bike 2011:

I'm pretty picky when it comes to the parts spec on a bike, so it's not very often that I buy a complete bike like this.. but Jamis really did this one right. There is absolutely nothing I would change on this bike.

Saying that this bike is light would be an understatement. Mine came in right around the 20 lbs mark without pedals just like Jamis stated. I never get tired of pulling it off the rack, it's unreal how little this bike weighs.

It's my first full carbon hardtail so I was a bit worried about the durability initially, but after a few rides, some travel, and a crash it's still in tip top condition.

It doesn't have a 15 thru-axle but the ride is still plenty stiff and doesn't jar you around like other hardtails I've been on.

This thing is FAST. It's the fastest bike I've ever owned. The gearing for it is perfect and due to the weight you can power up/down just about anything with minimal effort. It's absolutely perfect for the single track out here in Sycamore.

I was originally looking for a 29er hardtail but I'm glad I gave this bike a chance. It's much more nimble and doesn't feel overly steep. I'm looking forward to keeping it for a very long time.
