Pedals are sturdy and heavy. Those two go together so as long as you are happy with a little extra weight these are nice pedals. I use this bike for long rides on the weekends with cleats but also commuting with street shoes. Great to have the option.

    Comments about Shimano PD-M324 Pedals:

Once clipped in they are great for rides on the bike path or light trail duty. Due to the design though it is hard to "feel" where the cleat needs to go on the pedal. I suppose I will get better finding the slot as I use the pedals, but it makes it a bit awkward getting started from a stoplight or street crossing. Solid pedals though so for my purposes they should work great.

    Best Uses

    Comments about Shimano PD-M324 Pedals:

I really like these but I have only one issue. When I took my bike for a wooded trail ride, I didn't use the clip ins and only used regular shoes. When I took my feet off the pedals it was distracting and dangerous to try and get my feet back on the flat side. I would always end up on the clip side and had to mess with the pedals trying to flip them over while I was riding. It caused me to focus on my pedals more than the trail.

        Not for mountain biking

        By Kevin

        from Pasadena, CA

        Comments about Shimano PD-M324 Pedals:

Bought them for my mountain bike, used clip side on the uphill and flats on the down. Grip isn't good enough though, feed kept coming off. In their defense they aren't really designed for MTBing. I'd recommend them for road biking.

Used this pedal after my Wellgo's bearings began to have a problem. Great pedals but there heavier then the Wellgo pedal. Great for transitioning into clipless.
