Been on these for over a year without any issues. Lightweight, durable, and flex free.
Others may be lighter but none will last as long. Best bang for the buck especially at this price. Jenson to to rocks!

I have these pedals on my Ellsworth Epiphany. I Swithched from the lightest pedals on the Market to these because I was having unwanted release issues with the other pedals. There is nothing worse than coming unclipped when you don't want to. Also the Brass cleats on the Bling Bling pedals wore out really quickly. I was going through a set once a month in the summer.
I love the ability to adjust the release tension. They have a low profile which reduces pedal roll. Steel cleats Last and Last. Very durable. Easy to Pull apart and maintain. Easy to step in and out of.
My only complaint is the weight which in the grand sceme of things isn't that much of a difference, and if performance suffers for the sake to weight it's just not worth it.

I just installed these on a new Niner AIR 9 RDO. They're light and were easy to set up and dial in. I can't speak for the durability yet, but if they are like the rest of the XTR groupo, I'm not worried.

I have ridden these for few hours in competitions and free rides conditions and I am totally satisfied with my XTR competition pedals. It is easy to clip in or to clip out in emergency situation. My feet never got stucked even when pedals were stuffed with mud. Their width is also a great advantage since it allows you to keep stability when not clipped.

I could have gone to a lighter pedal from other manufacturers but I didn't want to compromise the reliability and "bashability" of the product. I sure wish it were sligthly lighter though.
I do find the outer edges of the pedals a bit sharp. I had a clumsy dismount leave me with painfull scratches on my calf, and a small spill with some on my inner thigh. A few strokes with a set of needle files or a few strokes with a dremel tool should bevel these edges right out though.

These have never failed me - not a jumper so I don't need flats, and Shimanos just work perfectly, rarely if ever needing a rebuild.
I guess it would be nice if they came with pedal washers, but that's the only gripe I can think of.

In my opinion this is the very best pedal available for racers. While you can find some pedals that are slightly lighter, none of them hold up like Shimano XTR does.
