I love these shoes. I was shopping for Sidi Dominators for a while, to take the place of my old beat-up mountain shoes, but these looked like a steal so I picked them up not expecting much when I got them. They are so so stiff and comfy! The buckles are perfectly placed and hold my feet securely without any slop. The shoes are not "super duper light" by anyone's standards, but are built very solidly and I expect them to last a long long time.
The soles are super strong and scuff-resistant. Being EC90 carbon fiber I was expecting great stiffness and I got it. The side benefit of such a stiff sole is MUCH more comfort while riding for long periods of time. I didn't realize how much the soles of my feet were fatiguing while I was riding until I rode with these. Holy dang these feel so solid underneath your feet that you can transmit body English to the bike much better.

These are great shoes for XC riding. Super stiff and comfortable for extended time in the saddle. My longest ride in them was 50 miles and I didnt have any issues, unlike my old shoes that would flex enough around the pedals to give me serious pain issues after hours in the saddle. I wear 45.5 sidis and 45 Giro fit like a glove. That great stiff sole though makes these a pain to walk in. Your heel will slip and even with relatively grippy lugs the shoe is just going to be clacking over anything you try to climb on. For SoCal its not an issue, anywhere wet and muddy, I might look into something a little less stiff...
