Totally subjective like is fit which includes length. At 6'2", 185lbs, the length comes to mid knee when standing and 1.5 inches above the knee when riding. Some may consider that too short. The waistband is wide and always comfy for me. I love all the pockets, the front ones have little spaces so that keys, goo's, etc. won't slide out of your pocket. These shorts allow me to ditch the Camelback on certain rides - two bars in the front pockets, fleece gloves and beanie in the back pockets. The chamois are a comfy mesh, not spandex and decently padded for what you pay. I did a 12hr ride in these with no issues. Then I did 6hrs the next day, still no issues (split the VaporTrail 125 course, hard folks do it in one go). And I'm riding a real crotch hatchet of a saddle. I bought two pairs. I also run and go casual in these shorts as I have cut the chamois out so I can wear the chamois with jeans, manpris, etc. in colder weather. Two seasons of use, and I see no wear yet.

Let me say that, despite my remarks here, these shorts will remain in my lineup because they do basically work.
I bought these because I needed another pair to manage 2-3 rides a week without incessantly doing laundry and they were a good price. I like the look of the shorts. I purchased grey, a departure from my normal black, and they look and fit fine.
There are no secure pockets on the shorts, only standard, open topped, front pockets. Clearly, these are useless while riding. I nearly always ride with a camelbak, so I have plenty of room to store keys, etc. so this isn't a huge issue for me, but it seems like a significant oversight to not have a least one zippered pocket.
The real problems start with the liner. It's attached to the inside of the short with two small tabs opposite one another which allows the liner to feel mostly separate from the outer short; however, it also allows the liner to get totally twisted around in the wash or drawer. It seems trivial, but it makes putting these shorts on just weird from the beginning.
Worse though is that the elastic at the bottom of the liner legs tends to ride up when pedaling. Sometimes just standing and wiggling helps them slide back down into place, but plenty of times, I've had to reach down and pull them back in place making them a regular annoyance.
Also, the liner seems a little thinner than other shorts and on longer rides (like my 18 miles this weekend), I start to feel numbness from the seat pressure.
Overall: I'll continue to use these on short XC rides or rides with a lot of flowy, downhill sections with less pedaling where the shortcomings aren't as apparent. Still, I wouldn't recommend these unless you're hard up to save cash on shorts, and I won't buy them again.

Comments about Sugoi Remote Short:
This s the second pair of these shorts that I have purchased. The first pair I bought were size large (too tight in waist). Second pair purchased was x-large- waist is tad large but overall comfort is much better. Overall these are great shorts for Mountain Bike riding.

Comments about Sugoi Remote Short:
alittle short on the length , they seam to ride up the legs alittle too much when on the bike. when not in use for the bike ride ,they do look good for every day .

Five stars if the chamois was removable without having to cut the small attachments and it was reattachable.

Comments about Sugoi Remote Short:
I wear size 34 jeans. I purchased the shorts in size large. They are pretty snug around the waist. I should have bought the XL. Other than that these are really sweet shorts. The chamois is very comfortable. The shorts are light weight and very comfortable.

Comments about Sugoi Remote Short:
The inner liner with the gel padding is held on to the outer pants by two small straps on each side of the waist. putting them on was very difficult especially with the waist of the pants being on the small side. I ended up cutting the straps and put on each, the inner portion and the outer pants, one at a time. This has worked out great and am very happy with this purchase. The waist is still a little tight when putting it on but is very comfortable once on. The draw string functions differently than what I am used to but works fine.

Comments about Sugoi Remote Short:
Bought these because they were on special. I probably wouldn't recommend them at the RRP though.
I found the outer shorts bunched up at the front of the hips, and the leg sections constantly rode higher up my thighs.
The inners are NOT removable unless you cut the stitching. I didn't like the inners at all. Not very supportive and didn't keep the tackle out of the way.
I was starting to get uncomfortable after about 45 minutes on the road bike.

I use it for my weekend all mountain rides. Feels very light and ventilated. Separate pad.
I was looking for a long time for a pair that will not be very tight and will be in a reasonbale price. This is just the right pair.

Comments about Sugoi Remote Short:
Great price. Nice fit - not so long that they catch on the quick release, not so short that I'm showing my man bits. Doen't ride up or hang down; no dirt down my crack. Not too tight, not too loose. Good all day shorts. Stitching for the pockets looks a little funny but, I can't see it while I'm riding. Chamois isn't too uncomfortable while standing, feels good while riding. Not too sure about durability (haven't had any falls or encounters with plants yet while wearing them) but, they seem like they'll go the distance.

XL shorts are still a little tight for 36-37" waist but passable. They are very comfortable and look like shorts when not on bike. Liner seems high quality too. Can't beat the price.
