Comments about Shimano MX80 Saint Pedals:
These pedals are great!! When I got the I thought the pins were a little short so I took the spacers out when I added in the side pins. I had them on my bike when I went to the Sea Otter Classic. I was wearing a pair of casual dress Diesel shoes and they stuck to the pedals like glue!! I was amazed. I might quit using my clips now.

Comments about Shimano MX80 Saint Pedals:
The concave surface is subtle, but quite noticeable. The other design element that I like is the distance the platform is from the crank. Some light pedals sacrifice in the axle length to save weight and you end up with a platform that is too close to your cranks and your size 11's hanging over the outside of the platform. Not a problem with this pedal.

Comments about Shimano MX80 Saint Pedals:
I am an avid MB who rides mostly singletrack and cross-mountain trails. It took me about 2 months to decide on pedals for my new Trek Fuel EX-8. (There are so many pedals on the market today). However, I finally decided to give these babies a try. I'm definitely glad I did! Not only are these the coolest looking pedals, they are also the most comfortable that I have ever tried. My feet stay firmly planted on them even when my shoes get wet. I have NO REGRETS whatsoever and would highly recommend these pedals!

It is easy to adjust screws heigth about petal platform with the washers that come with the petals + extra screws. They are thin for better ground clearance.

Comments about Shimano MX80 Saint Pedals:
I am new to MTB and I am not ready for clip ins. I bought these because I trust the Shimano brand and Saint is the best they make for the riders who use flat pedals. They are better than the Wellgos that came stock on my bike. They are larger, they don't bend and I have no doubt that they will take anything that I can put them through. I also like that the pins go through the pedal instead of screwing into them.
There are three things that I don't like about the pedals however, the first issue is that the pins seem a little short even after taking out the spacing washers. The second issue is something that I will probably adjust to, they aren't as large as I expected. They do give the measurement, but it's hard to picture the size of something under your foot, without it under your foot. The third nit I'm going to pick is that instead of making a cool looking pedal, they painted them to look similar to a cool looking pedal. I understand that bling doesn't last long on a pedal and these are cheap(relatively) for hardcore(relatively) flats. I also appreciate that they put the money into the utility side of the equation, but a little bling goes a long way toward preventing buyers remorse.
The Saints are good quality pedals that I would probably put on the "probably buy again" list, but they definitely don't make the "gotta have" list. I also don't see myself ever spending more than this on pedals either.

Comments about Shimano MX80 Saint Pedals:
Shimano Saint Pedals are the best Ive used. They are reliable and bombproof. the bearing design is much better than bushings.
Comments about Shimano MX80 Saint Pedals:
That was exactly what I was expecting from a high end shimano saint product. Robustness and quality.
And also, I didn't need to spend $200 on a pedal. Actually, I spent less than a half of that.
Nice!
