Bought these to use on my first road bike build. They're a very nice cable set, well finished and easy to work with. The flexible segment at the shifter end of the brake cable is a nice touch. They also look great with the colors on my bike. The anodized color matching cable crimp ends finish the cables nicely and are sure to make me faster! ;)
The combination of coated cable and slick housing make brake and shifter actuation very smooth.
Only downside is that the brake cable housing is a little short for my through-the-frame cable routing. Managed to make it work but there was no room for error. If you have the more common open brake line, this won't be a problem for you.

I bought this for a rebuild project that was to convert an old TREK 830 steel MTB to a grocery getter. I got some swept back handle bars and grip shifters. When all was done there really was not enough material. I liked the quality but could have used 5 inches more cable hose and a few more ferruls. Also the color description could have been a bit more accurate - Carbon Silver ends up more like "bronze".

Don't know why the bad review, it's clearly made for road bikes and has all its needed to fulfill a complete bike. Like it even better than shimano dura ace and campagnolo ultra shift ones I have installed in few bikes, plus lots of colors to choose, you can go wrong combining your ride while improving the shifting smooth too.

After trying the cable set on both of my road bikes I found no big differences in the Jagwire cables and other, more expensive cable sets. I do many high-mileage,unsupported rides in remote territory and have never had a problem.

Wish there was another six inches of housing just to be on the safe side. Remember: measure twice, cut once.
