Comments about Giro Monaco LF Glove '12:
The padding is in all the right places. Great padding is hard to find.
It keeps my hands warm on cold night rides. I do not feel the wind chilling my finders like other gloves.
Best fit glove I ever bought.

Comments about Giro Monaco LF Glove '12:
My older gloves were at the end of their life and need a new pair of gloves for road, CX, and MTB. Excellent gloves for the price.

Comments about Giro Monaco LF Glove '12:
I cycle/train commute to work daily and needed a glove appropriate for California weather. Giro Monaco LF gloves are great for their breathability and light weight. They pack small and look good doing it all, from commuting to my weekend rides. The hook and loop wrist closure is also nice to have and, surprisingly, hard to find on this type of glove. I mostly wear gloves to save my hands in case of a fall and the Monaco's supple Pittards leather and generous padding I imagine will protect nicely.
My gripes are mainly that the seam stitching is not very well done. I can see a few thread ends on the outside and believe these will be the source of their demise. Right out of the box, I even had to flip a glove inside out and sew up a slightly opened seam on one of the fingers and properly reinforce it... I didn't want to wait for the warranty process. Even with strong seam stitches, the fabric is so light, I predict it will begin to pull apart with time. That's just a compromise you make with lighter materials. For my use, I think they'll be ok. I don't compete or ride too, too aggressively.
For the price I paid (using Jenson's great price-matching), I can live with a couple cons. The Giro Monaco gloves fit my needs well. You could say, like a glove. Hardy har har.
