The Yakima Holdup rack is a very sturdy rack that holds the bike by the wheel so your frame is protected. It can be a little heavy and hard to manuever when trying to mount the rack to your vehicle but that's what makes it a solid rack. The bikes are a little close together when on the rack and handlebars can interfere with the other bike's seat so be careful. I had an issue after a few months with the arm loosening but Yakima replaced it no questions asked and has been solid since.

I looked at several hitch mounted bike racks before deciding on the Yakima. I liked the look and finish of it and had read some good reviews. It is very easy to load and unload my bikes and I actually look forward to using the rack when I am driving out to go riding. The only issue I had was the rear door on my vehicle (Toyota FJ Cruiser) would not open all the way with the rack on. I was able to solve this with a hitch drop adapter. This is something to be aware of but will vary depending on your vehicle.

Yakima makes a great rack and this one is no exception. Although it is a bit heavy, it is sturdy and unaffected by heavier bikes. It is a little tight getting the arm over a wide 29" tire but it works just fine.
